History
La Baguette is located in the historic Ramona Building, in the heart of Old Colorado City, which dates back to 1891. The building, itself, is named for the famous book “Ramona,” by author Helen Hunt Jackson. It originally contained the Addison Foote’s grocery store on the first floor and a doctor’s office on the second. Over the past 100 years, the building has been home to a variety of businesses, including an insurance office, a beauty shop, land surveyors, a law office, and an amusement equipment rental company. La Baguette opened in August of 1984 and has transformed itself into an upscale bakery and café. It has remained a community staple since its inception.
